How to Tune Up Your Work at Home Business
The basic things needed for a successful online home business start with marketing. Your choice of a domain name leads us right into what is called search engine optimization. Search engine optimization or SEO, refers to configuring your web site’s keyword phrase inclusion so when Google searches your web site you want it to land on page one. When you work at home, you absolutely want your web site to land on page one when someone searches for your product. Why? Because most people will choose a site that is on page one of a Google search. Very rarely do people go anywhere beyond the first page.
But SEO is a very tricky thing, and mastering it is not easy. The requirements to get your work at home business opportunity web site, keywords and content way up there in the Google rankings need to match a certain set of rules. And there are a lot of other people trying to get up there in the rankings as well.
And you really have to be careful the way you go about your SEO campaign. For example, repeating your keyword or keyword phrases 30 or 40 times in the content is called keyword stuffing. Doing this will get your web site penalized or even banned altogether from Google search results. It seems like common sense not to do this, if you want people to understand the benefits of your product so you can work at home. I do not see how the content could be any good as far as reading it would by anyway. The whole SEO process takes a lot of work, so if you are not prepared to do a lot of the work for your work at home business, just pay per click instead.
And there is much more to it than just keywords in the text of your website if you want your work at home business to take off. The page title and description of your work at home business opportunity (among others) are also factors. And obviously you cannot put every keyword you have for your product or service on every page of your web site. As a suggestion, make sure you search Google for examples of where and how you can advertise. Also check out other ads to get ideas for the wording for your ad copy and the follow up messages. If you do not know someone personally who can provide good answers, then they may not be that successful themselves. You can give me a call.
