Work at Home Scams
There are a lot of opportunities on the Internet - some of them are good, and some are not so great. One of the greatest things that the Internet has brought about is the availability of work at home businesses. The problem is that it also has a lot of work at home scams. And the funny thing is that the work at home scams are very good at marketing - that is, honing in on the triggers that will make people fall for their programs. They especially target the greed factor in people. And they are also really adept at getting people using the laziness element. So what does that mean? Well, think of the ads you see. You see things like “you can earn $5,000 to $10,000 in 90 days with no work - just set it on auto pilot.” This targets the greed - “$5,000 to $10,000″, and the laziness element - “with no work . . . set it on auto pilot”. In fact there is one out there right now that I recently got a spam email for where he is selling a program for you to easily sell things online.
The program is rather expensive, and he is selling a “limited number of licenses”. There are undoubtedly various testimonials from people, but do you really think that people will be able to use it to make a living? I have genuine doubts in my mind. I have seen too many of these things before, so I just laugh them off and don’t pay any attention to these work at home scams. But there are more and more people going online every day, which means there are more and more people to whom these tactics will be new and the online scam marketers will be able to snare more of them in their traps. So some people will probably make a little money from the people who are overcome by the greed and laziness, but will they be able to sleep at night? Can they be proud of what they are doing? I highly doubt it.
So how do you avoid all the work at home scams? How can you bullet-proof yourself from the many unsavory programs on the Internet that are masquerading as legitimate work at home businesses? It is pretty simple, actually. And all it takes is using a little bit of logic. You have to get the greed and the laziness factors out of your head and think logically about these things. In other words, if it were so easy, then everyone in all these Internet programs would be rich. Well, since you already know that most of the people in various Internet programs do not succeed, then you already know that the program they are pedaling will not make you succeed.
When you think about it this way, it makes much more sense, right? So, you also must know that if you plan to work at home online you must be prepared to have a number of out of pocket expenses. And you will have to put time into your home business to make it into something that will provide you with an income. For every legitimate work at home business there are probably more work at home scams. Remember the things you need to think about - when you see something that is very obviously appealing to the greed and laziness factors, then it is probably not something you want to get involved with.
