Work at Home Scams
Mini sites seems to be something that is being promoted a lot lately. It is touted as a fast and easy way to have a home business. They are usually only a couple of pages, and once you have done all the set up of the site, then they pretty much work on autopilot. I don’t know why, but I sense that this may be another one of those work at home scams. Why, you might ask? Because you can have the best mini site in the world that people will love, but how do you get the traffic to your fantastic mini site? This is usually the most expensive part, and what can become a financial black hole unless you really learn how to do it - something that they really don’t teach.
So when people talk about driving traffic to your site, It may be one of the work at home scams. It is missing the part about getting your business visible to the people. This is one of the most critical steps in determining whether or not you will be a success in a work at home business. So go on and make those mini sites, but getting it in front of the people - that is the real challenge. I am telling you this because I want you to know about this very important part to your success online. It is once again a case of the tool manufacturers making a killing at the expense of the people who are going to find the diamond. They sell them the picks and drills, but they don’t tell them where the diamonds are. Thar’s diamonds in them thar hills. . . somewhere. I’ve sold you the tools, now good luck finding the diamonds. I don’t know if it falls into the category of work at home scams, but it is kind of close to it, probably because so many of them say that you can just watch the money roll in.
I am not trying to discredit all of the website creation and marketing tips that people want to sell - well, maybe a little. Some teach how to create mini sites from start to finish, and how to make money with them. There are those that show the way to make squeeze pages that really attract traffic, etc. But actually, you will probably be better off going to a community college and taking two classes - one in web design and one in Internet marketing. You will get most of the knowledge you will need to build a great website and on how to market it as well.
The thing that people online who are selling all this stuff are missing - and misleading you with - is that they are saying things like get, draw, or attract traffic, when the getting, drawing, or attracting traffic part is the real key, and potentially the most expensive and difficult to do. The “how the website looks” part is one aspect of what makes people interested in what you are talking about or selling. And another aspect may be how you are presenting what you are selling.
I don’t worry about work at home scams because the company that I am with sells me customers. I make money from the purchases of the customers, and it works great for me. I don’t have outrageous marketing costs, I don’t’ buy expensive leads, and I don’t have to talk to anyone, and I have never been happier.
